When it comes into contact with wound exudate or blood the absorbent dressing forms a gel which creates a moist wound environment. Through the lock-in technology, cell debris and any bacteria found in the wound exudate can be retained inside the fibre dressing and removed during the dressing change. The high vertical absorption of exudate into the fibre dressing protects the wound environment and the wound edge, thus supporting the healing process.
