Sacral Silicone Foam Bordered Dressing

Dressing that improves absorption and retention by the combination of a foam and superabsorbent layer. It absorbs exudate though silicone perforations from the wound and provides a moist wound healing environment to promote wound healing. The silicone wound contact later reduces pain and trauma during dressing changes, and enhances patient comfort. The waterproof outer layer protects the wound from dirt and bacteria.

Indications

Wide range of exuding wounds, including pressure ulcers, leg and foot ulcers, traumatic wounds, skin tears and surgical wounds. In addition, these dressings can also be used on dry/necrotic wounds in combination with gels. Gentell Silicone Foam Bordered Sacral Dressing reduces postoperative blistering and may also be used as part of a prophylatic therapy to help prevent skin damage, e.g. pressure ulcers.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to components; third-degree burns. Check wound for signs of infection before use and, if infection occurs, see a healthcare professional.
