Prolevo Wedge

Medical-grade polyurethane (PU) wedge that attaches to the patient's bed. The patient's lower legs rest on the wedge while the heels extend beyond the end of the device, keeping them clear of the mattress and redistributing weight onto the calf.

Indications

At risk of heel pressure ulceration; Heel ulcers or pressure ulceration risk due to reduced mobility; Requiring redistribution of pressure, friction and shear from the heel; Requiring heel elevation to prevent contact with the mattress; Requiring pressure care management in hospital, care home or home care

Contraindications

Conditions where limb elevation is contraindicated; Unstable lower limb fractures or injuries; Risk of circulatory restriction or increased discomfort (use clinical judgement)
