Indications

Static, pneumatic compression to the lower leg for treatment of chronic venous insufficiency (CVI); ulcus cruris venosum (end-stage CVI); superficial and deep venous thrombosis; dependency oedema; erysipelas; arterial ulcers (after pressure measurement); Martorell ulcer; traumatic ulcers; diabetic ulcers; other causes of ulcers associated with oedema.

Contraindications

Absolute contraindications: arterial insufficiency (distal systolic pressure (DSP) < 60mmHg and/or ankle/arm index < 0.5) and total occlusion of the deep venous system; severe heart failure (NYHA class IV); serious skin abnormalities; allergy to components; patient incapable of operation
